A role at BNY Mellon's Manchester office was recommended to Ellen by a friend who had already joined our office and embarked on her own financial services career.
At the time, Ellen was working in a restaurant after leaving school with A-levels in mathematics, chemistry and biology.
In January 2006 she decided to apply to the company and, after demonstrating her ability to quickly take on new skills, was offered a role as an Investment Accountant within the Investment Accounting Services department.
Since joining our Manchester office, she has developed impressive industry knowledge and was promoted to her current position of Senior Accountant in May 2007.
She now works in a nine-strong team which manages client accounts and meets tight deadlines on a day-to-day basis, giving her the chance to use the skills she's developed whilst in her role.
