Sean Turner
Group Manager, Income & Tax
Sean was one of the first people to join our first Manchester office when it opened in September 2005 and has become a key team leader thanks to his hard work in a number of roles.
After finishing his A-Levels, Sean wasn't certain that university was best option for him and applied to BNY Mellon to see if financial services could offer the challenges and rewards he was looking for.
He was offered a junior position in the new office but within two years he had completed a NVQ in Business Administration and was promoted to Supervisor.
Sean excelled in this role and in 2007 he was promoted again to become a Section Manager within Settlements.
Over the course of almost three years he managed various operational and support functions. At the start of 2009 he embarked on Manchester Metropolitan University’s Financial Services degree, supported by funding from BNY Mellon.
In March 2010 he was promoted to a Group Manager position within the Manchester Income & Tax department, covering the UK, Irish, Dutch and Swiss markets. He is now responsible for leading several teams within that department, driving a change agenda and ensuring successful implementation of an ambitious annual business plan.
