In the community

As well as being a committed employer in Manchester, BNY Mellon is an active member of the community, providing support to improve the social and environmental landscape of the city.

We operate a number of programmes and initiatives to ensure the organisation and our employees can make a valuable contribution, including:

• Community Partnership Programme: All permanent employees of BNY Mellon are eligible for Paid Volunteering Time (PVT) which enables them to take two days of paid leave to volunteer each year. This frees up the equivalent of 11,500 hours to support local charities.


• Global Giving Campaign: Encourages all employees to contribute time and money in their local communities to a variety of organisations. The theme of the Campaign is 'working together to build better communities around the world'. As part of this we offer both a matched fundraising and matched giving programme.


• The Community Foundation for Greater Manchester: We support this organisation which matches businesses to local charities looking for funding.


• Fundraising activity: Our Manchester office organises a variety of sporting and social events which have so far raised over £55,000 for charities.
