Milestones

The BNY Mellon in Manchester has achieved a number of milestones in our ongoing growth, including:
- Jan 2009: first team members begin moving into our second office
- April 2008: announcing further expansion in Manchester with an additional 50,000 sq ft of office space at 3 Hardman Street in the Spinningfields development
- November 2007: winning a highly prestigious National Training Award and Minister for Skills, David Lammy MP presents certificates to our employees who were the first people in the UK to secure the Advanced Apprenticeship in Investment Administration
- March 2007: His Royal Highness, The Duke of York visits us in his capacity as the UK's Special Representative for International Trade and Investment
- January 2007: launching the pioneering Advanced Apprenticeship scheme
- November 2006: celebrating our first anniversary
- January to September 2006: recruiting 350 people
- November 2005: commencing operations in Manchester
- May 2005: appointing Jackie Williams as head of the Manchester operation
- March 2005: beginning recruitment campaign for our first 100 employees
- November 2004: selecting Manchester to be the location for a new growth centre.
